What Is the Difference Between a Registered vs. Unregistered Lead?

Understanding the difference between registered and unregistered leads helps clarify how lead data is captured and managed within SharpLaunch.

✅ Registered Lead

A registered lead is someone who has completed the sign-up process to access the document portal of a property.

Here’s how it works:

  • The user visits a property page and clicks to access the document portal (e.g., https://demo.sharplaunch.com/signup).

  • They fill in the required registration fields:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Password

    • Confirm Password

  • Upon successful submission, the lead:

    • Is created in the SharpLaunch platform.

    • Is automatically associated with the specific property.

    • Is tagged with the source “signup” in Lead Management.

If the passwords do not match or required fields are incomplete, an error message will prompt them to correct the issue before proceeding.

🚫 Unregistered Lead

An unregistered lead is any user who has not completed the sign-up process for a document portal.

This means:

  • They may have visited the property website or even clicked on the document portal, but did not fill out the registration form.

  • As a result, they are stored as an “unregistered lead” in the system and have no access to any document portals.
