Global Design Settings

Global design settings in the flyer tool allow centralized control over typography, styles, and table behavior across all flyers. These settings help ensure consistency and reduce manual formatting.

Permissions

  • Only Global Admins can configure global design settings.
  • Regular Admins cannot view or modify these settings.

    Accessing global design settings

    You can access global design settings in two ways:

    Option 1: From Settings

    1. Log in to your Sharplaunch account
    2. Navigate to Properties > Settings > Flyer Tool

  • Option 2: From the flyer editor

    1. Go to a property
    2. Click Create Flyer
    3. Click the three dots, select Edit Template
    4. Select any element in the flyer (such as a text box or table)
    5. In the right-hand panel, scroll down and click Edit global settings

Global design configuration options

1. Global typography settings

Global typography settings define default text styling applied across flyer content.

Available settings

  • Font family
  • Font size
  • Line height
  • Text color

Where typography is applied

These defaults are automatically applied when:

  • Creating new flyers
  • Adding new content blocks
  • Adding tables

Supported elements

Free text elements

  • Normal text
  • Headings
  • Numbered lists
  • Bullet lists

Dynamic text elements

  • Mapping tags
  • Dynamic data fields
  • System-generated text

Tables

  • Demographics tables
  • Highlights tables
  • Availabilities tables
  • Custom tables
  • Table headers and cell values

Broker information

  • Broker details
  • Contact information
  • Broker-related content blocks

Notes

  • Typography settings are centrally managed
  • Changes apply to newly created content only

2. Global style presets

Global style presets allow admins to define reusable formatting for text and tables.

Preset types

Text presets

  • Default typography settings
  • Consistent text styling

Table presets

  • Typography settings
  • Table colors
  • Border styles and widths
  • Border visibility modes
  • Alternating row colors

Behavior in the editor

  • Presets appear as visual preview cards
  • Users can preview and apply styles from the sidebar
  • Newly inserted tables use the first available table preset

Editing presets

  • Presets can be managed from global settings
  • Presets can also be edited within the PDF editor (template mode) via the Edit global settings option

3. Table editing behavior

Cell selection

  • Click a cell to select it
  • Shift + click to select a range
  • Ctrl/Cmd + click to select multiple cells

Editing content

  • Double-click a cell to edit directly
  • Changes can be made in-line

Formatting behavior

  • No cells selected → formatting applies to the entire table
  • Cells selected → formatting applies only to selected cells

Inline text formatting

Within a cell, selected text can be formatted with:

  • Bold
  • Italic
  • Underline

4. Table context menu

Tables support a right-click menu for common actions:

  • Move row up/down
  • Move column left/right
  • Add row above/below
  • Add column before/after
  • Delete row
  • Delete column

5. Pasting spreadsheet data

Paste into an existing table

  • Copy data from spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Paste into a selected table cell
  • Data fills across rows and columns automatically
  • Tables expand as needed

Paste outside a table

  • Pasting tabular data directly onto the canvas creates a new table

Note: For best performance, use 15 columns or fewer.

6. Table border and row styling

Border configuration options

Border modes

  • All borders
  • Outer borders only
  • Inner borders only
  • Horizontal borders only
  • Header-only borders
  • No borders

Border styles

  • Solid
  • Dashed
  • Dotted

Additional settings

  • Border color
  • Border width

Alternating row colors

  • Even row color
  • Odd row color

7. Axis locking

Axis locking can be applied to one or multiple elements.

  • Select multiple elements
  • Apply position or size locks simultaneously
  • Axis locking is also available via right-click

8. Undo, redo, and page behavior

The editor maintains consistent table behavior during:

  • Undo actions
  • Redo actions
  • Page switching

This ensures:

  • Accurate selection states
  • Proper rendering of table controls
  • No residual editing artifacts
