Locking lets global admins keep flyer templates on-brand while everyone else stays free to update the content. Global admins lock an element’s position, size or text style. Admins can still change the words, swap images and update maps, but they can’t move, resize or restyle anything that’s locked.
Locks are set field by field, so you decide exactly how much flexibility your team has.

Locking position and size
You can lock four layout fields on any element, each one on its own:
- Height
- Width
- Horizontal position
- Vertical position
The lock control sits beside each field in the right-hand panel and only global admins can see it.
For example, lock only the vertical position on a headline, and admins can still slide it left or right but can’t move it up or down.
Lock several elements at once. Select multiple elements and set the locks together in the right-hand panel. You can also right-click a selection to lock its position or size.
Locking text styles
Global admins can choose which text style settings admins are allowed to change:
- Font family
- Font size
- Line height
- Colour
A lock checkbox sits below each field and only global admins can see it.
- Lock all four, and admins can’t change the text styling at all.
- Lock some, and admins can still change the ones you left open.
- Unlock a field, and it can be edited again straight away.
Text style locks never stop anyone from editing the words themselves.
Locks stay in place however a flyer is edited
The flyer editor now has more ways to change elements, and locks are respected in all of them. A locked element can’t be moved, resized or restyled through:
- Dragging or resizing on the canvas
- Editing several elements at once in the right-hand panel
- Align and distribute
- Copy, cut and paste, including onto another page
- Grouping and ungrouping
- Dragging an element to a different page
Locks are also kept every time a flyer is saved, including autosave and when restoring an earlier version, so templates stay on-brand from the first draft to the final PDF.
Templates and role-based permissions
Global templates. Global admins create, edit and delete global templates and set their locks. Admins use those templates to create property flyers, but can’t change or delete the templates themselves.
Content editing is always allowed. Locks control layout and styling only. Admins and global admins can always edit text, replace images, and update maps and embedded content.

How to set locks
- Log in as a global admin.
- Go to the property and select Create Flyer.
- Select the three dots, then Edit Template.
- Select the element you want to lock. To lock several at once, hold Shift and select each one.
- In the right-hand panel, use the lock controls beside Height, Width, Horizontal position and Vertical position to lock its size and position.
- To lock typography, select the lock checkboxes under Font, Font size, Line height and/or Colour.
- Select Save Template.
Your locks apply to every flyer created from that template.
